HOW DO I ENROL IN LESSON?

After your taster lesson we will send you a link, direct to your phone / ipad/ computer.

Here you can electronically complete our enrolment form with all your personal info and submit it to us quickly and easily.

NB : YOU MUST HAVE A TASTER LESSON OR ‘MEET THE TEACHER’ BEFORE ANY LESSONS CAN COMMENCE. The system will request your email address.If you have multiple addresses, please ensure that you keep a note of which one you have used and utilise the same email address for all contact with us.

This is how we (and the system) will recognise you.

WHAT ARE YOUR HOLIDAY DATES?

Solihull Music School is CLOSED for eight weeks during the academic year : two weeks at Easter, two weeks at Christmas and throughout most of August for the Summer Holidays.

ARE YOU CLOSED ON BANK HOLIDAYS?

We also CLOSE on ALL Bank Holiday Mondays.

ARE YOU OPEN AT HALF TERM?

We are OPEN throughout all school half terms, apart from BH Mondays..

WHAT HAPPENS IF THE NUMBER OF STUDENTS IN A GROUP DROPS?

In order to be flexible, should the students in any group fall below a viable number, we shall make every attempt to offer an alternative group lesson, by amalgamating with another, at the same level.

Should this not be possible, the lesson may continue on a semi-private basis, but for a shorter duration than the standard one hour, until such time as more students are recruited to join the group.

Duration will depend upon the number of students left in the class.Alternatively, a private lesson will be available.

WHAT IF I AM UNABLE TO CONTINUE WITH MY LESSONS?

Two calendar months’ written notice of termination of lessons must be supplied before the first of the month (or payment in lieu) as per our agreed Terms & Conditions.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I CANNOT COME TO MY LESSON?

Out of courtesy PLEASE ring us and let us know (answerphone outside school hours). Likewise, if you are running late. We might wish to delay the start of the lesson for all students to arrive, but in practise this is not possible. If you cannot come to your lesson, or are going to arrive late, please let us know.

HOW CAN I CATCH UP IF I HAVE BEEN AWAY OR MISSED A LESSON?

All group lessons are recorded and can be accessed simultaneously, at the normal lesson time, or the following day when it will be uploaded on to our website, for access at a time convenient to the student. No group student, therefore, will ever need to miss a lesson.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I NEED EXTRA HELP?

We are happy to give private catch-up lessons by arrangement with the teacher. Private lessons are charged at the 1-2-1 lesson rate. Please enquire about availability.

WHAT HAPPENS IF THE TEACHER IS ILL OR UNABLE TO TEACH MY LESSON?

In the unlikely event that we cancel a lesson, a refund will be made direct to your payment Card, unless such cancellation is due to an Act of God (ie: very severe weather : roads closed by snow or flood, power cuts etc.)

DO YOU REFUND ME IF I CANNOT ATTEND A LESSON?

Under normal circumstances, we make no refunds for lessons which are not attended.
