Mini Maestros

"Before I created Mini-Maestros, I noticed a significant gap in musical education offerings for young children post-pre-school. They needed a structured yet engaging pathway to formal music training, which wasn't available until now," explains Kate Turner, Principal of Solihull Music School.

About Mini-Maestros

Mini-Maestros is a bespoke course designed for children aged 4-5, transitioning from preschool to primary school. Crafted with expertise by our Principal Teacher, Kate Turner, the program uses engaging educational tools and a state-of-the-art interactive whiteboard to make learning fun and effective.

Our Unique Learning Environment

Each half-hour class in our exclusive Mini-Maestros studio is an adventure in music, with an array of percussion instruments at each child's fingertips. Maestro the big cat puppet is a regular attendee, making music learning delightful and memorable!

Comprehensive Musical Foundation

By the end of the course, children will grasp essential musical concepts like rhythm and pitch, and begin reading basic musical notation. They’ll have also been introduced to instruments such as the keyboard, piano, guitar, drums, and vocals.

Parent Comforts

While your child discovers the joys of music, relax in our comfortable waiting room or enjoy our garden on sunny days. Convenient, free parking is always available right outside our facilities.

Safety and Trust

We prioritise safety as much as education. All our staff have up-to-date Enhanced CRB/DBS Certificates, visibly displayed for parent reassurance.

Graduate to Greater Heights

After 12-18 months in Mini-Maestros, students graduate to the main Music School, equipped with the skills and confidence to continue their musical journey.

"Mini-Maestros is not just an introduction to music; it’s the beginning of a lifelong passion," adds Kate. Enquire about our lessons today and learn how we can help your child grow into true Mini-Maestros!
